// COMMS_CABINET_INSTALLATION
Organised, professional comms rooms
// OVERVIEW
A well-organised comms room is the nerve centre of your network. Our engineers install and configure communications cabinets to the highest professional standards — from wall-mount enclosures in small offices to full 42U floor-standing racks in large data rooms.
We begin by assessing your equipment, growth plans and the physical space available, then specify the right cabinet size, loading and ventilation. The cabinet is positioned and fixed to suit both ergonomics and cable entry, with adequate clearance for airflow and maintenance.
We handle patch panel installation, switch racking, PDU fitting, cable management tray installation and full patching. Equipment is racked to a logical layout — core at the top, access switches and patching lower down — for efficient airflow and easy troubleshooting.
Cable management is where most racks fail. We use horizontal and vertical managers, careful routing and consistent dressing so every patch lead has a home and the rack stays readable even after years of changes.
Every port is labelled at the patch panel and on the cabling schedule, so a fault can be traced from outlet to switch port in minutes. Colour-coded patching separates functions — data, voice, uplinks, out-of-band — at a glance.
Power is planned, not guessed. We fit PDUs sized to the load, distribute feeds sensibly and leave headroom for future devices, avoiding the overloaded strips and daisy-chained sockets that cause outages.
Whether you need a single new cabinet or a full comms room refresh, we tidy, document and re-organise existing installations as well as building new ones — bringing chaos back under control without disrupting live services.
We leave your rack neat, documented and fully operational, with a complete port schedule, rack elevation diagram and patching record handed over so your team can manage and support it confidently.
